Saturday 7th September, 2019, 10am to 4pm
*~ A student focused, supportive space to reflect and explore experience ~*
These support circles, facilitated and held by Marie-Louise Lapeyre offer a regular, nurturing and supportive space for student midwives. Participants are invited to reflect upon their personal and professional experiences during clinical placements and throughout the journey to becoming qualified. Students are supported holistically to explore their influences around birth, to debrief and to share stories, powerful tools for self-discovery.
Please bring a small, vegetarian contribution to our communal lunch which is always a highlight of the day, where the sharing continues over delicious food.
The day is divided loosely into three parts
10am – 1pm circle
1pm – 2pm lunch
2-4pm guest speaker
Payment is anonymous sliding scale $5-$50 depending on your circumstances. The payment is charged to cover the cost of the venue hire and for Marie-Louise’s generously given time. Please bring your cash in an envelope to drop into a bowl on the day.
There are three circles scheduled in 2019:
25 May – Mana Health, Preston (guest speaker TBA)
20 July – Mana Health, Preston (guest speaker Elizabeth Murphy)
7 September – The Birth House, Geelong (guest speaker Belinda Henkel)
More guest speaker gatherings may be announced as the year continues.
CPD attendance certificate available via email after circle
